Knows every region
North American, PAL and Japanese releases, editions like Player's Choice and Greatest Hits, all told apart and priced separately.
The retro game hunting companion
Point your phone at a cartridge, disc or box and RetroDex tells you exactly what it is, down to the region and edition, and what it's really worth. Then get out and hunt: RetroDex turns collecting into a real-world game, with a map, quests and a RetroDex to complete.
How it works
Snap the label, the box or the disc. RetroDex reads the title, the printed codes and the region marks, even Japanese titles.
See what it actually sells for, loose, complete or sealed, from recent sold listings. Spot a price tag? The deal meter tells you if it's a steal.
Every game you scan becomes a new entry. Catch the ones you own, wishlist the ones you're hunting, and watch your RetroDex fill up.
Collecting, turned into a game
You know those phone games where you walk around your town catching creatures? RetroDex is that, for real games. The relics are hiding in thrift stores, flea markets and swap meets near you. Get out there, catch them in the wild, and level up as a seeker.
Game stores, pawn shops, flea markets, swap meets and expos near you. Check in to collect passport stamps, become a place's Regular, and be the first seeker ever to check in somewhere to plant your Pioneer flag.
Scan a game on the shelf and it's registered in your RetroDex. Buy it and it's caught. Every entry has a rarity, from Common to Legendary, and regional versions count as new forms to collect.
Daily and weekly quest boards, shared by every seeker in your region, plus live events for seasons and game expos with their own badges. Scan games back to back to build combos worth up to five times the XP.
Earn XP for every scan, catch and check-in. Climb from Rookie Seeker to RetroDex Master, earn badges, and unlock gear for your avatar as your RetroDex fills up.
Share sightings so nearby seekers can grab a deal, get pinged when someone spots a game on your wishlist, and follow your friends' best finds in your feed.
